This notebook includes notes taken by Joseph Baxter between November 1689 and July 1690, while Baxter was a student at Harvard. These notes represent sermons by a variety of ministers including Revs. Mather, Moodey, and Willard.

Material Features

Small notebook, written in a small, neat hand. Sermons written one sided from front to back and then back to front in reverse. The dates utilize the old date style front to back and the new date style back to front. Some pages damaged or missing. A letter from Elizabeth B. Updike to Dr. Ellis written on April 16, 1890 is affixed to the cover.
