Two sermons by an unknown preacher in Yorkshire. The catalogue title associates this MS to David Brown but there is no clear connection, Brown was already dead and has no known association to Yorkshire. The catalogue title dates to 1749, but this should be extended to 1740-1756 based on the preaching information in the MS. The MS is all in one hand but there is no information on the author/owner.
Two small unbound notebooks each containing a sermon. Book 1 is numbered '16' and book 2 is numbered '17.' In good condition, written on the front side (recto) only. There is no pagination of foliation, the MS is 87 leaves total.
Part of a collection of papers of Robert Wodrow held by the University of Glasgow. The manuscript was acquired from Charles W Wodrow Thomson on 8th July 1891.
