Contents Note

Six volumes represent sermon notes taken by Edward Bromfield; four volumes contain sermon notes taken by Bromfield's son Edward Bromfield; and one volume of sermon notes kept by the elder Bromfield's mother-in-law Mary Rock. The final notebook contains account information. These sermon notes represent sermons likely preached in Boston, Massachusetts by a variety of ministers, including Cotton Mather, Samuel Willard, and Joseph Sewall, among others. The "Flint" identified as a preacher was almost certainly Henry Flynt (1675-1760).
