Educated at Uni of Glasgow, ordained to Lesmahagow 10 February 1703. Appointed minister of the Scots Church in Rotterdam in 1715, died at Aix-la-Chapelle in 1735, where he had gone for recovery of his health. He was one of the founders of the Scottish poor-house at Rotterdam.
