Powell, William ( - 1612-03-12)

Fellow of Magdalen College, Oxford, in 1564. Received degrees of B.A. (1564), M.A. (1569), B.D. (1577), and D.D. (1585). Lecturer on theology at St. Paul's Cathedral in 1578. He may have been rector of St. Mary's Church in Reading from 1571 to 1593. Prebendary of Wedmore in Wells Cathedral in 1576 and canon of Wells in 1583. Rector of All Hallows Bread Street, London from 1578 to 1585. Archdeacon of Bath in 1584. Died 12 March 1611/2.
