Other note
Son of John Veitch minister of Roberton. Regent in the University of Glasgow 1649-1656, he was admitted to Mauchline in 1656. He was imprisoned for refusing to take the Oath of Allegiance and deprived in 1662. He returned under the Toleration in October 1687 and died before 28th July 1694.
