Thomas Fuller was baptised on 19 June 1608. He matriculated pensioner from Queens' College, Cambridge on 29 June 1621, graduating B.A. in 1625 and proceeding M.A. on 1 July 1628. Fuller was ordained deacon on 5 June 1631. Shortly after, he took up his first post as prebendary of Netherbury in Ecclesia, Salisbury Cathedral. He was also instituted to the vicarage of St Benet, Cambridge, which he resigned in favour of Hilton, Dorset, on 18 June 1633. He was awarded the degree of B.D. from Sidney Sussex College, Cambridge on 11 June 1635. After a series of appointments, Fuller became rector of St Dunstan, Cranford, Middlesex, in 1658. On 1660, he was awarded the degree of D.D. by royal mandate. Fuller died on 16 August 1661; he was buried at Cranford Church. Thomas Fuller is best remembered for his posthumously published History of the Worthies of England.
