There is a note on f. 239v which reads: ‘King Georges Inauguration Aug: 1. 1715 at High Barnett’.
There is a note on f. 161v which reads ‘East Barnet Nov. 5. 1710’ and a list of hearers.
Only includes epistolary preface. This is a partial transcription of Robert Willian’s 1622, "Conspiracie against kings, heauens scorne. A sermon preached at Westminster-Abbey before the iudges, vpon the fifth of Nouemb. 1622. By Ro: Willan. Doctor in Divinitie."
In the handwriting of Jean Forent. Written out clearly and in full with marginal Scriptural citations, some insertions and deletions. At one point an extra scrap of paper has been attached.
In a different hand from the rest of the volume – neat and very clear. The majority of this text is written out in full sentences and would seem best classified as a sermon. f. 173r: ‘the Church of England hath instituted this day for a pious memoriall of the happy deliuerance of both Church & State from the treacherous & bloody [con]spiracyes of our Adversaryes of the Church of Rome whoethis day intended to massacre the King nobility & gentry by blowing up the Houses of Parliament’.
