Other note

Watson attended Emmanuel College, Cambridge (BA 1639; MA 1642) before becoming chaplain to Mary, Lady Vere. He held posts, first probably as a lecturer and later as rector, at St. Stephen Walbrook before being ejected in 1662. Subsequently, he preached in numerous places and was prosecuted on a number of occasions for holding conventicles. His "Body of Practical Divinity" was published in 1692 and may contain materials from some of his sermons.
