B.A. (1673), M.A. (1675) from Magdalen College, Oxford. Made canon of Lichfield in 1682. Vicar of Clifton-upon-Dunsmore, Warwickshire, 1684-1691. Thereafter he became master of the free school in Coventry. Vicar of Dunchurch, Warwickshire beginning in 1697. Rector of Eastwell, Leicestershire beginning in 1699. Lecturer and sequestrator at St Martin's, Leicester beginning in 1700, and vicar there from 1712 until his death in 1740.
