Other note

Son of Joseph Lister, a dissenting farmer at Allerton, Yorkshire and occasional preacher at the dissenter congregation in nearby Kipping, Thornton. Educated at Mixenden by Matthew Smith and ordained at Horton in 1694. Preached at Kipping and Bingley ca. 1693, before settling at Bingley in 1695. Returned to Kipping in 1702 as a "repairer of breaches" where he died, 25 February 1708/9. The account of his death is appended to GEMMS Sermon 014711, f. 207v.
