Notes of sermons, etc., mostly preached by dissenting ministers at Kipping and elsewhere in the West Riding, in the hand of John Hall. Volume VI of the HALL PAPERS, the entire collection dated c.1632-1751. This particular volume also contains extracts from printed sermons (1653-1737). Additional material includes 18th century notes by John Firth (Hall's great-grandson) on ff. 1r-4v and a 'Confession of Faith' (c. 1678), ff. 342-50.

Material Features

Large rebound notebook. The original flyleaf is preserved and signed "John Scholefield Firth 1782." Further notes about proveance on f. iii: "Joshua Firth Booke" and a later note, "John Scholefield Firth no doubt became the owner of this book on the death of his father John Firth. Aug. 1782. Joshua father of John died 1769." ff. iii + 350
