This manuscript comprises the sermon preached at the funeral of Frances Egerton (née Stanley), Countess of Bridgewater. The full title is: 'A Funerall Sermon vpon the death of the Countesse of Bridgewater my deare Lady and Mother made Mr. John Carter.' It is not certain as to which of her children wrote out this sermon.
