Forty-nine autograph sermons by Robert Paxton of Virginia (d. 1714). The first leaf comprises a short biography of Paxton in a second, unidentified hand and a table of contents. The second sermon on Acts 2:32 appears to be placed after the sermon entitled 'The parable of the sower'. In the contents page, the sermon on Acts 2:32 is entitled 'Of the Sacrament', while it is named 'Of the Resurrect[io]n of Christ' at the top of the sermon proper.
