Sermon on John 14:6

One curious feature of this manuscript is that it contains this sermon in two different locations (these pages and pp. 499-519). Preliminary comparison of the two reveals no differences in wording; it seems likely that Northcote was copying these sermons, perhaps from his own loose papers (which may have become confused, resulting in the second copy of this sermon) or papers given to him by auditor(s) who had heard and noted these sermons. It is clear that he is not amplifying from notes in producing these sermons, however; if he were there would be substantive differences between the two sermons on John 14:6. They are virtually identical.
