Preceded by a letter from R. G. to Richard Rawlison dated 25 October 1748. Followed by a "Preface to the Reader" on schismatics (ff. 44r-88r) written by Henry Gandy. Corrections in his hand and another hand, including slips interleaved, pasted in, etc.

Printed as Richard Bancroft, A sermon preached at Paules Crosse the 9. of Februarie: being the first Sunday in the Parleament, Anno. 1588. (London, 1588). It was printed again in 1636.

Description

A copy of Bancroft's sermon made in the early eighteenth century. The copyist has entitled it "Dr Bancrofts sermon preach'd against the Nonconformists in the reign of Q. Eliz."
