Catalogue of books belonging to John Marshall

The book catalogue of John Marshall, brother-in-law of Henry Greswold, contains many individual printed sermons, with prices listed. Sermons include those listed in 'Print Editions / Witnesses'. The 1662 edition of The Danger of Deferring Repentance by William Fenner is listed; however, this particular edition no longer appears to be extant. Other works in Marshall's catalogue include Thomas Nashe's Christs Teares over Jerusalem (1593).

List of sermons, appears to be taken from the titles of a printed sermons as the headings given closely match the print witnesses:
1) A Comparison between A sincere penitent, and A just person. In a sermon preached before the Queen at Whitehall. March 1692. By Tho: Manningham D.D. Chaplain to their Majesties... Luke 15:7;
2) A Sermon preached before the King & Queen at Whitehall March 12 1692 by Richard, Bishop of Bath & Wells Text Matthew 5:43;

A list of sermons

A list of sermons which Beaver had either been present at, or had read, including ‘Bp. of Chichester before ye King on Reuel: 20th: 4’, ‘Bp. of Chester And: wn ye fulnesse of time’, and ‘St Martins, Mr Hill: The men of Nineuy shall rise up. agst. this &c.’. According to Beaver, ‘Mr Hornet preached at Westminster on ye same text’ as Mr Hill. In addition, ‘my Ld Clare’s Chap[lain]’ preached on Luke 16:2 at Westminster. There is also a list of sermons preached c. 1673-1674, at f. 28v (‘Tuesday ye 6th. Dr Thomas’ on John 5:14; ‘Sunday before Easter Bp. of Hereford.
