The header to this sermon reads: "God doth sometimes magnificently, & Royally manifest himselfe."
Sermon on the anniversary of Charles I's execution. This was also a Fast Day sermon for that occasion. The header reads: "The blood of Abell Made A bitter Crye." Another header reads "The present world, is liable to dreadfull sinnes, & direfull sorrowes."
Sermon on the anniversary of the Gunpowder Plot. The header reads: "Gods rich Grace And mans vile ingratitude."
The sermon is described in the DWL catalogue as copying page 44 of Hugh Peter's sermon, dated 1646. The information about p. 44 is difficult to find, but the catalogue might be referring the information in shorthand in the margin f. 254v.
The sermon is interspersed with commonplace entries in darker ink and separate hand.
