At the end of the sermon is an addendum prefaced by the statement "This passage, by a skillful hand, is Reduceable to a Funeral-Sermon." It is taken from p. 104 of "the Ancient Mythologist." In the header are the words "An Apposite Story for a Funeral-Sermon." This addendum is not materially related to the sermon that precedes it except insofar as Allestree appears to be collecting material suitable for funeral sermons (of which there are several in this volume).
