The full title of the sermon is ‘A Notable Sermon made before the Kinges Magestye, the Secconnd Sonnday in Lente beinge the Secconde daye of Marche, By the Reuerend Father Maistre Hughe Latymer profeßoure of Diuinitie. Gathered & finished the 12 of Aprill, And Dedicatid unto the most Christen Prynce Edward the Syxte, &c.’ (f. 2v). This title page is signed ‘By your graces daylie oratoure John Dowglas. 1550’. This is a full transcription of Latimer’s sermon preached on the second Sunday of Lent in 1550 before King Edward VI.
