Sermon on Zechariah 4:6

This sermon is not written out in its entirety, but rather as detailed notes. Henry begins by putting his passage into context, describing a point in time 'just w[he]n the Jewes were upon their re:turn out of Babylon, where they had been in captivity three-score & ten yeares' (p. 1). The doctrine and first explication starts on p. 3. The application can be found on p. 13, discussing famous historical deliverances by God. 'The work of Reformation begun in ye church of God in Luther's time' is identified as a key form of deliverance (p. 14).

Sermon on Genesis 15:4

This sermon expresses thanks to God for 'ye safe Deliverie of ye Queen & ye Birth of a young Prince' (James Francis Edward Stuart, Prince of Wales, the 'Old Pretender' and son of James II, 1688-1766). This sermon is written in a large, neat, and clear hand, with no crossings-out. There are marginal Biblical references throughout.
