Paper, octavo, 158 leaves. All written in the same clear, formal handwriting, which may be that of the author or a copyist.

Paper, quarto, 68 leaves.

Paper, quarto, 190 leaves. Handwriting is very close, small, and clear.

Paper, quarto, 18 leaves. The sermon is written in a clear and elegant hand. The manuscript is not foliated, so contemporary pagination is referred to in this entry.

Paper, quarto, 375 leaves. For the series of sermons on Zechariah, which were preached in both the morning and afternoon, the dates are written in the margin.

Paper, quarto, 65 leaves. Badly damaged. A note on the outside of the parchment cover reads, "Annotata quredam ex Augustino aliisque Patribus."

Paper, 45 leaves, 7 1/4 x 5 7/8 inches. Bound in skin with blue ribbons in fairly good condition.

Paper, i + 31 leaves, 6 x 4 1/4 inches. The cover is parchment, part of an English deed, which is a grant to John Wessell (WasselI?) dated 31 July 1615 (1637?).

Paper, iii + 25 leaves, 6 1/4 x 4 1/8 inches. Ff. 8-25 are blank. Inscribed facing the first folio of the sermon. The names Richard and Sara are written on the last folio.

Paper, iv + 21 leaves, 7 5/8 x 6 inches. Seems to be vellum binding (white skin) much of which is covered in strange writing in two different hands. Ff. 16v-20 are blank. On the f. 1 (?) a contemporary writer has written the question, "whither this sermon of Mr. Matthew Mead is in print?"

Paper, ii + 255 leaves, 7 x 4 5/8 inches. No writing on versos throughout the manuscript.The leaves containing the shorthand sermons have been damaged by damp. Someone has added a note regarding the shorthand sermons: "These sermons in Character are of Arch Bp Tillotsons own writing."

Paper, viii + 84 leaves, 6 3/4 x 4 5/8 inches. Bound with green ribbons, of which only fragments remain. The binding has a ornamental stamp in a diamond shape with a crown on top of a rose. Ff. 13-42 and 73-83 are blank. Judging by the writing, the sermons appear to date from the latter part of the seventeenth century.

Paper, i + 27 leaves, 7 x 4 5/8 inches. Beautifully written within ruled red margins. This was likely a presentation copy of the sermon.
