First 16 folios include a handmade index with red and black lettering and cut tabs, although the index has not been used, and instead accounts are recorded in this space. Ruled margins and headers. Pages have been foliated. The inside of the front board is inscribed "G. A. Farsyde Fylingdales nr Whitby Y[ks?] 1825 [altered to 1826]. These M.S. were found amongst the papers of my Uncle Watson Farsyde". |

94 ff. Bound into a leather tooled, small volume, with the spine marked "MSS. Nevile Sermons, Chevet, Yks 1700-1710". Possibly bound by Harry Bradfer-Lawrence (1887-1965). Generally written in a clear hand. Some sermons are written on only one side of the paper. Some water damage and pages mended with glue. The sermons seem to have been bound together from different sources as pages are slightly different sizes. f.1r is a handwritten title page in red and black ink. |
